(Chapter 13.20 of the Wixom Municipal Code, Section 13.20.090)
13.20.090 Rules and regulations.
A. The cemetery will be open to the general public from sunrise to sunset,
Sunday through Saturday.
B. No person or vehicle may enter the cemetery except through the
established gates and entrances thereof. All motorized and non-motorized
modes of transportation shall travel on designated roads, except those
vehicles that are being used in the maintenance of the cemetery, attendance
at a funeral, or on official cemetery business.
C. All vehicles shall obey the posted speed limit of ten miles per hour.
D. No pets of any kind shall be allowed within the cemetery grounds unless
confined within a vehicle. This provision shall not apply to dogs or other
animals assisting handicapped persons.
E. The consumption of alcoholic beverages is prohibited within cemetery
grounds.
F. Marking of cemetery graves or lots with decorative fencing, stone, wood
or any kind or enclosure is prohibited.
G. No person shall deface, injure, disturb, mark or write upon any marker,
monument or headstone.
H. Unless otherwise stated herein, no person shall injure, destroy or take
away any vases, flower pots or other containers or ornaments placed upon
graves, except such as were originally brought in by the party so removing
them.
I. No person shall create any improper noise, disorderly conduct,
carelessness, or any other activity which tends to destroy the peace,
tranquility and attractiveness of the cemetery and its sacred devotion to
the interment and repose of the dead. (Ord. 03-12 § 1 (part), 2003)
13.20.100 Violation and penalty.
Any person violating any of the provisions of this chapter shall be subject
to a fine of not more than five hundred dollars and costs of prosecution, or
by imprisonment in the county jail for not more than ninety days, or may be
punished by both such fine and imprisonment in the discretion of the court.
