Join in a Good old fashioned Wixom day as we celebrate our 50th Anniversary. Enjoy entertainment & activities for all ages related to the 1800-1950’s era. Event includes: old tractors, cars, candlestick maker, blacksmith, wood craver, petting farm, train display, clowns, kid’s choo-choo train rides,crafts & games, horseshoes and more. Top Notch entertainment includes the "Bel Airs Band" Classic 50’s & Amazing Clark Magician, church & school chorus groups. Wixom, Loon Lake & Walled Lake Elementary 4th classes will be displaying the "Visions of a Child" photos inside the Gibson House. Lots to see & do! Dress appropriately- outside event. Businesses, Homeowner Associations, and individuals show off your secret recipe!! Strictly all in good fun. Get your team together slice & dice and cook onsite. The Public will judge your samplings. Texas size trophies for top 3 winners. Call 248-624-2850 for a Cookoff Registration & Rules Form. Entry Fee for cookers: $20. Founders Day Guests- Come hungry to sample and judge all chili’s - pay $3 onsite.

Time:  Bus leaves at 8:45 am- Returns @ 3:15 pm
Fee:    $20 per person
Enjoy the many restaurants, casino & sites at your leisure. Price includes roundtrip motorcoach transportation & casino visit includes $15 cash back! In order to claim jackpot prizes, you must present 2 pieces of I.D.  Make sure you bring necessary identification with you.  30 minimum required to operate bus.  Must pre-register with Parks & Recreation.

Eastern Market Bus Trip
Who:   Everyone
When:  Sat, Jun 7
Time:   9 am- 3 pm
Fee:    $10 per person
Enjoy the day at your leisure at the famous Detroit Eastern Market. Bring wagon or heavy duty shopping bag to hold your purchases of fresh flowers, fruits & vegetables, fresh meats, spices & more. Lunch on your own.  Must pre-register.  20 minimum required to operate bus.

Detroit Tigers 2008 Bus Trips

When:  A. Sun Jun 29 Bus leaves 11:15 am
           B. Mon Aug 25 Bus leaves 5:30 pm
Fee:    $35 per person
HOT tickets to HOT games to see the HOTTEST players in the league! June game vs. 2007 World Series 2nd place Colorado Rocies! August games vs. Cleveland Indians. Fee includes ticket, bus & snack. Seats located in upper deck section 322.  Concessions at the game on your own. Register early- 20 minimum/ 45 max.  Limit 6 tickets per household.

Register early!!  Please sign up early! You can sign up now, all classes are open for registration that have been published. Pre-registration is required for all programs unless otherwise noted. Fees must accompany registration form. Check, credit card or cash are accepted. Registration is accepted on-line or by fax, mail or walk in. A minimum enrollment may be required to begin or continue an activity. The Recreation Dept. reserves the right to cancel any activity based on insufficient enrollment or other conditions beyond our control. Every effort will be made to notify registrants of program cancellations.
