Getting speeding motorists to slow down can be a
time-consuming job. The Wixom Police Department has a SMART Trailer
to help slow down speeding motorists.
The SMART Trailer shows the speed of passing vehicles so
the drivers can be aware when they are speeding and slow down to the
posted speed limit.
The police department can put the SMART Trailer out on any
roadway. It's self contained, it's alarmed, if anyone tampers with it,
the alarm activates.
The SMART Trailer is available to the Wixom Police Department
for a week per month. A schedule is posted at the police station.
