The Adopt-A-Truck program runs from the first weekend in April through to the end of October, weather permitting. This program is designed to assist individual homeowners and Neighborhood Associations within Wixom with their yard clean up.

The DPW sends 2 trucks out per weekend and you are allowed to utilize the truck one time per year and it is on a first come first serve basis. We recommend calling in early March to get your weekend scheduled.

There are a few rules that accompany this FREE program:

•   Only discard yard waste ( grass clippings, brush, limbs, tree trunks)

•  DO NOT over fill the truck. All waste must be within the parameters of the bed.

•  Stack waste neatly inside the bed. This will prevent debris from flying out of truck.

• We will only leave the truck parked in your driveway or road shoulder. Do not ask for the truck to be put in your yard.
