APPLICATION FOR LICENSE TO REGULATE GARAGE SALES

Option #1:  Fill out the Editable Form  in a word processor and either fax to (248) 624-0863 or bring it to the Clerk's office.
Option #2:  Fill out the Printable Form  by hand and fax or deliver to the Clerk's office as above.

• During a twelve month period the first and second application for a sale at a particular location will require no fee. The fee for the third application is $10.00 and the fee for the fourth application is $20.00. No more than four sales during any twelve month period.
• All such garage or rummage sales shall be held no closer than twenty-five (25) feet from the front of lot line of the premises covered in the permit. There shall be no over night outside storage of the goods or merchandise held for purchase in said garage sale.
• No signs advertising a sale regulated by this ordinance shall be placed on public property or within the public right-of-way or on any utility pole or on private property, except that one sign advertising the sale may be placed on the property of the owner.
